Cape Save Weatherization

Cape Cod Heat Pumps is proud to partner with Cape Save Weatherization when our customers need insulation and other weatherization services.

For a number of reasons, heat pumps and weatherization go hand in hand.  First, when you’re installing a new, high efficiency HVAC system, you want to ensure that the home is well-insulated to keep that heated or cooled air inside the home.  According to the U.S. Department of Energy, adding insulation to your home, particularly in areas like attics, floors over crawl spaces, and basements, can save homeowners an average of 15% on their heating and cooling costs which translates to around 11% on total energy costs.

Second, proper weatherization is a requirement if you’d like to take advantage of the Mass Save heat pump incentives, such as rebates, heat loans, etc.  A Mass Save auditor will come to your home (at no charge) to asses the energy efficiency of key pieces of equipment, with special attention paid to the insulation and any cracks or leaks.  If weatherization is recommended, you must complete that work in order to qualify for the incentives.  The good news: Mass Save will pay for 100% of any air sealing, and 75% of any required insulation (possibly more for low income customers).

Cape Save Weatherization offers insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, ridge vents, soffit vents, and upper and lower insulation.  A true, Cape Cod, family-owned business for 50+ years, they have earned a reputation for attention to detail, professionalism and courtesy.  Their outstanding customer reviews tell the story.  Homeowners can feel confident that the job will be done right.

Importantly, Cape Save Weatherization is also a Mass Save and Cape Light Compact weatherization partner.  With a thorough understanding of the program, they can guide customer through the process to take full advantage of the program’s incentives.
